Our Pirates Alley Tie should be inspiration enough to visit this famous old New Orleans Landmark. This inconspicuous Alley runs in between St. Louis Cathedral and the Cabildo, which was built in 1795 for the Spanish Governor and the place where the Louisiana Purchase was signed in 1803. Come down to the French Quarter and stroll down this gorgeous Alley past the Faulkner House (built in 1840) where William wrote his first novel, Soldier's Pay, in 1925. After that, stop in the eclectic Pirates Alley Bar to take a load off.
